  London Above formed in early 2013. The alternative rock band consists of Elliott Butt (bass/guitar/vocals), Chris Morrison (guitar/vocals/keyboards), and Harry Parsons (drums). The band has been playing in St. John's to increasingly well-attended shows over the past several years. Chris and Elliott are both graduates of Memorial University's School of Music where they met. Before London Above, Elliott fronted St. John's band Shorthanded, notably opening for Silverstein, Ten Second Epic and Protest the Hero. Chris fronted Gander's Assembled By Judy, opening the 2009 ECMAs. Harry attended the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, California for drums and has played in numerous bands around St. John's, opening for acts including Wintersleep and Metz. Recently, Harry was voted runner-up best drummer in St. John's according to the Overcast reader's poll. Harry has also taken part in Canadian Music Week, playing shows around Southern Ontario. Individually, each member has distinct and often contrasting influences but they have found a way to amalgamate their styles into an exciting, dynamic sound. London Above's live show captures the complexities, the musicianship and the energy of its recordings and offers a truly entertaining experience.
