  Digital Photography Fun with Jason Hashimoto

  Children's Photography Workshop
  
  Friday, August 26, 1 - 4 pm
  
  This one-day workshop will give children an introduction to some of the basic techniques of digital photography. The two major topics covered include the basics of the camera and photographic composition.

  We have limited numbers of cameras available for use, so it is recommended that children bring their own camera and memory card, although this is not a requirement of the workshop. Bring your lunch. Fee: $25.

  Jason was first introduced to photography while in high school, spending countless hours in the darkroom developing 35mm film and making traditional photographic prints. Although his images are now captured on sensors instead of film, and he spends far too many hours in front of his computer, his passion for creating beautiful images remains the driving force behind his exploration of the medium. Working full time in the photographic camera industry, and running a part time wedding photography business keeps him very busy. Jason truly loves to share his knowledge of photography with others and has taught several photography workshops at local galleries and camera clubs.

  Community Concert in the Harbour

  An oldtime community concert with musical entertainment, recitations, whatnot and foolishness. Guests will include Brian Hiscock, Dave Paddon, and Caroline Fowlow.
